I fight honorably because when I'm invading, I feel like I have the disadvantage. if I look back to DaS1, im happy I beat that game and got my fair share of deaths, corpse runs and risk-reward situations. Surviving those pvp encounters, passing the unique bosses and hazardous maps adds to the Celebration of a successful adventure in Drangleic doesn't it? Asking to say, makes bosses easier, turn off pvp and only turn on co op makes this game void of the title difficult and what makes the success worthwhile when you have, possibly beaten a game no harder than pokemon, Mario or kingdom hearts?Īll im trying to say is those mechanics are in the game for a bigger, better sense of achievement. This is my opinion on the matter, but asking to make the game easier only tones down the sense of achievement you accomplish once you are finished. sustain the image of a difficult game for players who pick it up. If I wanted to, I could run away and let the NPCs deal with him. What's the point of bowing anyway? I give the other player a chance. And by that, I mean ganking with NPCs, ganking with other invaders, backstabs, stunlocks, ambushes, and more. When that happens, I run away and plot out how I can kill the host. It's cheap, it's dishonorable, and straight up makes me mad. The thing I CANNOT stand, though, is when we both bow and they heal up because they're losing the fight. I don't feel guilty if they run away and heal, or if I run away to gank with the NPCs in the area. I bow, putting down the silent rule of 'don't cheat.' If they don't bow back, then chaos insues, and no rules are holding me back from killing them. I feel sorry for them, but I need to complete my mission as much as they need to complete theirs. Okay, there are times when I invade someone but they don't want to fight me. Now, even though I'm an invader, I'm still out to kill them, and facing an honorable invader is better than facing a player who's out to cheat you. When I invade and find the host, I give a polite bow - showing that I would fight honorably if they would do the same. There mission is to complete the area and by that, they need to get through me. That is my goal there's no simpler way of putting it. When I do invade, I feel as if my mission as an invader is to defeat my opponent. Am no by means a professional player or a veteran player when I write this, but I have been playing for a while.
